Built by someone who couldn't breathe in his own home.

I'm Chandan Jain, a mechanical engineer from Pune University, and I've run a steel and stainless-steel tube manufacturing business with my wife for years. I've also lived in Delhi my whole life — and battled bronchial allergies since childhood.

Every winter, from October through February, it became a routine: my allergies would flare up, coughing and wheezing would set in, and I'd end up on antibiotic courses and nebulizer sessions just to get through the season. It stopped feeling like weather. It started feeling like survival.

The turning point came on a trip to Dublin to see my son, where the AQI rarely crosses 1 or 2. Within days, my symptoms disappeared. I was walking over 12,000 steps a day without a single issue. It became impossible to ignore: my problem had a name, and it was the air I was breathing back home.

Back in Delhi, I relied on room air purifiers like everyone else — but they only ever solved part of the problem. Every time I moved from room to room, I'd have to switch on a new purifier and wait for it to catch up. Clean air was never something I could just walk through my own home and expect.

That's when I decided to build something different: one system that treats an entire home or office as a single space, not a collection of rooms — bringing in fresh, filtered outside air instead of endlessly recycling what's already there. That idea became Kair.
